GANT Rugger Opens Concept Store In Williamsburg

by The Daily Front Row

What’s cooking at GANT? The menswear label just opened a “Tasting Table” concept store in Williamsburg this month where shoppers can refresh their look and their palate. Located on 115 North 6th Street, the 1,300 square foot retail space will include a chef’s kitchen with bistro seating and a 600-square-foot outdoor garden for entertaining. “The store will be about so much more than shopping, with tables and chairs for hanging out, and a full working chef’s kitchen for low key food and drink related events featuring our Brooklyn Luxè collaborators,” said GANT USA CEO David Arbuthnot. The brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 Brooklyn Luxè collection is featured in a campaign that showcases local food and spirit collabs with the Brooklyn-based Kings County Distillery, Brooklyn Salsa Company, and The Sussman Brothers. The store will be selling signed copies of Max and Eli Sussman‘s latest cookbook, Best Cookbook Ever (we love the humble title!) and a special salsa called The Rugger from the Brooklyn Salsa Company. Delish! Next up is a store opening in Boerum Hill at 357 Atlantic Avenue, which will open towards the end of November. The duo of openings is just the beginning of the brand’s retail expansion plan, which entails four more new stores in the U.S. for next year to join the already existing portfolio of shops in Manhattan, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago.
