Flashback Friday! All The Looks From The Esprit by Opening Ceremony Collection

by Eddie Roche

Opening Ceremony is doing it’s damnedest to make Esprit cool again with their just released third collaboration out today. “In our first two seasons working with Esprit, we tapped into our teenage years hanging out at the mall,” Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon says. “With this third collection, it has grown up a bit. We’re still very inspired by the iconic Esprit logos and design hallmarks of the time, but we’ve evolved the approach to add updated prints and new silhouettes. This is Esprit by Opening Ceremony going off to college.”  The late ’80s and early ’90s collection features outerwear, cardigans, bodysuits, pants and skirts in a range of sherbet-like tones and rich wintery cherry reds. But nothing turns back the clock quite like the scrunchies included in the accessories offering. Now an entirely new generation will be introduced to the joys of the scrunchie. The collection will be available at Opening Ceremony retail stores, openingceremony.com, a virtual pop-up space at Esprit.com, and at select international retailers today. Prices start at $30 for the logo baseball cap and go up to $475 for a reversible down jacket. Peruse all the looks below.
