This holiday season, The Mark hotel on New York’s Upper East Side is offering one of the most luxurious packages we’ve ever heard of. In fact, it’s so luxurious that the $250,000 price tag actually feels like a bargain. It includes everything from a photoshoot with Alexei Hay, to a dinner prepared by Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, to a private skating rink, and more.

What major development happened at Hearst this week?

Correct! Wrong!

Hearst Magazines editorial, video, design, photo, and social staff are unionizing with the Writers Guild of America East. The union represents employees at Cosmopolitan, Elle, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, The Oprah Magazine, and Town & Country, among other major titles. “Hearst is one of the largest editorial employers in the industry, and media’s rapidly changing landscape means it’s more important than ever for us to have a say in the conditions of our employment,” reads a statement. “We care deeply about the work we do at Hearst and its reputation within the media industry, and we believe we deserve a seat at the table and a say in how we are compensated and treated in the workplace.”

How did director Reiner Holzemer convince Martin Margiela to be in his documentary?

Correct! Wrong!

“It was clear from the beginning that we could not show his face because he wants to remain private,” Holzemer said. “I told him if we cannot show his face we at least need something personal in the movie. For me, it would be his voice. And I love his voice. I think he has a very interesting voice, but he said, ‘no, I don’t like my voice when I hear myself. It doesn’t sound good. And when the movie is finished, I would love to enjoy watching the movie too. But when it’s with my voice, I won’t enjoy it.'” To get around this Holzemer manipulated Margiela’s voice. “We found a slightly technical way to change it,” he explained. “For me, it’s still the voice of Martin and for him, it’s a little bit nicer for the way he hears himself. That’s how we convinced him in the end, to speak.”
