Everything's Coming Up Posey

by The Daily Front Row

Last night at Chelsea Pier’s Lighthouse, The Ali Forney Center held their 4th annual (and biggest one yet) summer benefit, “Oasis,” hosted by everybody’s beloved indie spirit Parker Posey and presented by Barclay’s. The sold-out event raised funds for homeless LGBTQ teens and young adults and included a performance by Rupaul’s Drag Race star, Detox who gave a hair raising peformance set to Robyn tunes (we’re not kidding! Girl’s wig fell off on stage!). A few of the faces hitting the piers for a little Wednesday retox were AFC executive director Carl Siciliano, Chris Constable, Jeffrey Grey, Ariel Foxman, Todd Thomas, Shane Cisneros, Rose Swarbrick, Brian Moylan, Marc Rozic, and Adam Patrizia, who took in jams by Jonjon Battles. There was a lot to celebrate with the event raising more than $200,000! That’s a party, girl.
