Gigi Hadid made her hosting debut at last night’s American Music Awards alongside Jay Pharoah in not one dress, but six, proving that the event wasn’t just a music show, but a fashion show, too. The mod followed in the footsteps of some of the biggest names in the biz in mastering the multi-costume change (think: Jennifer Lopez), which has become a tradition for hosts at this event. Naturally—or perhaps with a little help from the supermod’s stylist Monica Rose—each look magnified Gigi’s effortlessly sexy-meets-glamorous style.
First up: Hadid arrived at the rainy red carpet in an all-white, sheer, off-the-shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown paired with blown-back hair, thin diamond chokers, and a bold lip.
For the show’s opening, Hadid stunned in a custom-made shiny red Atelier Versace dress; the brand also dressed her beau Zayn Malik as he accepted the Best New Artist award.
Next came two looks by Brit designer Julien MacDonald: a body-con nude crocodile dress and a rock ‘n’ roll-inspired embellished short-suit combo.
As for her Nicolas Jebran black dress moment? It was perhaps her most fierce moment of the eve.
And the grand finale: another look by Atelier Versace. Gigi sparkled in a perfectly bedazzled transparent gold track-suit.
