How did we miss the memo that DJ Calvin Harris is so easy on the eyes? The folks over at Emporio Armani got it, and they’ve nabbed the Grammy winner as the face of their Spring/Summer campaign. This is OK with us. He’ll also be fronting their Emporio Armani Eyewear and watch lines. Life appears to be working out for Harris, who’s listed by Forbes as one of the worlds top-earning DJs and is the first British artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. He also racked up the most number one hits from a studio album, surpassing Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. The new campaign was shot by Boo George (best name ever!) in Los Angeles, and is set to be unveiled globally in January. “Calvin Harris is truly a cosmopolitan, dynamic young man who is capable of attracting the masses with his music and energy,” Giorgio Armani said in a statement released today. “He isn’t a model by nature, and this creates a more sincere and engaging bond with the public.” New York based DJ Brendan Fallis currently appears in the Banana Republic holiday campaign and Ralph Lauren’s Denim & Supply label enlisted DJ Avicii for their campaigns in recent years.
