ELLE DECOR Names Whitney Robinson Editor-in-Chief

Whitney Robinson is about to call ELLE DECOR home. The glossy tapped Robinson as its new editor-in-chief, beginning July 10. Most recently he was style director at Town & Country, where he styled interior stories among other things, and previously he was deputy editor at Metropolitan Home, senior editor at Town & Country, co-founder at Qulture.com, editor at House Beautiful, and freelance writer for T Magazine, WSJ Magazine, and DeparturesIn his new role, he’ll report to Newell Turner, editorial director of the Hearst Design Group.  

“Whitney has the boundless curiosity and discerning eye that defines the consummate editor-in-chief,” Hearst Magazines president David Carey said. “His contributions at Town & Country helped the brand evolve and refine its point of view on style, and I am looking forward to seeing his concept for ELLE DECOR come to life.”
