Editor’s Pick: Versace’s Sneaker Collaboration With 2Chainz

by The Daily Front Row

What: A collaboration between Italian luxury label Versace and American rapper 2Chainz, the sneaker boast some of the familiar elements of Versace’s classic Chain Reaction sneaker – the chain-link sole, Greca details, and braille lettering – while introducing new features like an embossed croc neoprene collar with dual zip closure.

Who: Versace was founded in 1978 in Milan by the late Gianni Versace. Following his death in 1997, Versace’s sister Donatella took over as artistic director and continues to lead the company to this day.

2Chainz is a Grammy Award-winning rapper, songwriter, and actor from College Park, GA, just outside of Atlanta.

Why: The limited-edition sneakers are part of a larger capsule collection of men’s athleisure wear designed with 2Chainz and available exclusively in the US.

Where: The collaboration will launch in a pop-up boutique in Atlanta’s Wish Gallery from February 1st to February 3rd and on Versace.com. The sneaker will be dropping in the Versace Phipps Plaza boutique that week and become globally available on February 8th.

How (much): $1,350
