Who: Designer Ramy Brook Sharp founded her eponymous label in 2010. She quickly found an audience for her fun, feminine wares inspired by strong women. The line has grown exponentially, and is carried in major retailers like Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus. Sharp also has a number of celebrity fans, including Cindy Crawford, Julianna Marguiles, Kate Beckinsale, and Alyssa Milano.
Recently Ramy Brook has expanded to include a denim line, which will be released this fall.
Why: This little black dress is anything but boring! The embellished floral motif is super cute, and has a vaguely vintage feel. Meanwhile the deep-V front and the strappy low-cut back add a sexy touch, while the asymmetrical tea-length hemline keeps it ladylike. It also comes in white.
