DvF Reveals Her Never-Before-Seen Vintage Archives

by The Daily Front Row

Belgian-born casting agent and fashion consultant Natalie Joos recently got an up-close and (very) personal look into Diane von Furstenberg’s sprawling Connecticut estate, which was featured on Joos’ popular blog, Tales of Endearment. How personal? Joos got a first-ever look at the designer’s own personal archive wardrobe (not even Furstenberg’s own granddaughter had seen it!), complete with vintage Louboutins, Giorgio di Sant’ Angelo skirts, vintage DVF fur boots, and several wraps dress, of course. Surprise finds? Nameless red fringe pants and a collection of Stetson hats. Who knew DvF was such a cowgirl? She has indeed always had that trailblazing spirit, though. Check out her Annie Oakley-inspired pieces modeled by Elizabeth Gilpin, Laura Love (daughter of West Coast Teen Vogue editor Lisa Love), and Talia Lennox (daughter of singer Annie Lennox) in Joos’ video here. As for her vintage pieces, Furstenberg no longer wears them, telling Joos, “I don’t need to wear vintage. I am vintage.”
