Don't Expect Dakota Fanning To Start Designing Clothes Any Time Soon

by The Daily Front Row

While she’s nearly in her twenties, Dakota Fanning can’t seem to escape the reminder of her youthful age. Just last night at the National Arts Awards, she was honored with the Bell Family Foundation Young Artist Award, decked out in an ethereal Vionnet gown. Not so surprisingly, she is the youngest recipient of the award. After The Daily congratulated Fanning on her award, we asked her about her other artistic abilities: “I can’t look at something and draw it, but I do like to draw weird shapes, in a more abstract way.” Fair enough, but would she ever take up design? “I can’t say I have enough drive or the passion to design really well,” Fanning explained, “I would never want to do anything halfway.” And while she might be buddies with Marc Jacobs, Fanning could share no insider info on his future, although she does have faith that his next steps will be great. “He will find a good fit for him and whatever he chooses will be right!”
