Donna Karan And Gabby Karan De Felice Help Host The Solving Kids’ Cancer Benefit

Last night, the Solving Kids’ Cancer organization held its sixth annual benefit, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. It’s funded and managed 25 research projects resulting in 15 new treatments to improve survivorship for children in need. Donna Karan, who hosted the shindig along with daughter Gabby Karan De FeliceBonnie Young, Jan Planit, and Latham Thomas, has been involved with the org since the beginning. “When I was approached to get involved I knew I wanted my friends and family to be too. This is the time to step up and do as much as you can to help and support the cause,” said Karan. “There’s no end to it, so as long as we do have it, which is difficult, we need to try to treat it the best way we can for the children and their parents as well.”

The charming Josh Lucas, who was the MC at last year’s event, also came out to support. “The work that this organization is doing doesn’t get more painful and complex in having to deal with families who have to face so much, so to create an evening that is really joyful and beautiful is quite hard to do considering what many of these families have been through. It’s a very touching event to be involved with,” said Lucas. Other guests, including Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers and Jennifer Creel (plus families involved with the organization) enjoyed a sitdown dinner to the beats of the adorbs 11-year-old (yes, that’s right) DJ Fulano and an auction.
