Sidney Toledano is adding yet another high profile role to his already very busy schedule: The CEO and president of Christian Dior Couture and CEO and board member of Christian Dior S.A. has been elected to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation’s board of trustees. “His experience managing a global business and his shared commitment to the importance of art in the world today will make him a valuable member of the board of trustees,” said chairman of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, William L. Mack, in a statement.

In addition to his new board member role with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and his existing board member title chez Dior, Toledano serves on the boards of Fendi International S.A. and Institut Français de la Mode and the Comité Colbert, as well as the executive board of the Fédération Française de la Couture. In addition, Toledano also serves as the president of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine, a member of the management committee of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, president of the Public Authorities Commission for the Institut Français de la Mode and the Comité Colbert, and president of the John Galliano company. What’s more? Toledano was also named a Knight of the French Legion of Honor in 2005 and an officer of the French National Order of Merit in 2011. He was also honored with the title of Officer of Wissam Al-Arch in 2007 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. Toledano was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1951.

Toledano has been at Dior since 1994; he joined the brand as the director of the leather goods division for the brand’s couture house. He is also credited with helping launch the brand’s iconic “Lady Dior” bag, as well as the creation of Dior Fine Jewellery and Dior Homme. Needless to say, Toledano plays an important role in the fashion industry and beyond. We can’t even imagine what his daily schedule must look like…
