Jean junkies were out in full force last night to celebrate their favorite blues, with artist Rob Pruitt spray-painting J Brand jeans for a limited edition collab at Barneys. The promise of customizable denim drew the likes of Stefano Tonchi, Pamela Love, Jennifer Fisher, Karla Martinez, Athena Calderone, and Margherita Missoni. But it wasn’t just a shopping event: guests watched as Pruitt, ensconced in a glass box, created custom jeans with his trusty spray guns.
Meanwhile, down in Nolita, there was the opening of the RE/DUN vintage denim pop-up shop, hosted by photog Petra Collins. The vibe of the evening was undeniably chill, and the bash was held at Warm, the chic boutique started by wife and husband duo Winnie Beattie and Rob Magnotta. Guests, which included editors like Vogue‘s Kelly Connor and Style.com’s Rachael Wang, who perused RE/DUN’s reworked denim selection while sipping Coronas and Red Stripes. The shop also offered up a spread of boho chic staples for men, women, and children, plus a selection of home décor, and even a mini apothecary. Denim for all!
