Dear Daily: Rebecca Minkoff’s Montana Moment

by Eddie Roche

Rebecca Minkoff writes in about her recent excursion to Montana with her friend tribe.

“Since I’ve become a mom, all of my trips have been either family vacations or work trips. As much as I love my kiddos, I have to say, I was both excited and nervous to take my first true girls trip post marriage/babies with a group of my besties! Triple Creek Ranch in Montana was the perfect setting for #TheMontanaFive. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Summer 2017!”

“Could you ask for a better backdrop? I don’t even remember the last time I was on a horse before this trip! Maybe sleepaway camp? My horse’s name was Maverick and he was a sweetheart.”

“The beauty of Montana. Seriously, you can’t take a bad picture here.”

“Glamping! Yes, that big grin you see on my face is s’mores related. No matter how hard I try, I can never replicate the taste of a true s’more from a campfire.”

“Blue skies forever! We rode to the top of the mountain for a picnic.”

“No vacation is complete without a good old-fashioned selfie!”

“Summer camp vibes!”

“I was in awe of the complete beauty of Montana. The openness and vast expansion of Montana was a welcomed change from city life.”

“Love these ladies! Katniss Everdeen has nothing on the Montana Five’s archery skills!”

“It took long enough to have a girls trip with these ladies—we can’t let that much time pass before taking another one.”

“Maybe Chaps will make a comeback for SS18—if so, I’m ready!”

“The Montana Five—my ride-or-die chicks! We did a team penning activity where we sorted and penned cows and calves. It was tough, but we felt like true cowgirls after the fact.”
