She’s not just a designer! Last night Nicole Miller added a new role to her CV and writes in to tell your Daily all about it.
It’s Earth Week and last night I celebrated by attending the 22nd Annual Artists for Africa benefit. The African Rainforest Conservancy does extraordinary work for the Tanzanian Rainforest. It was so nice to see my old friend Lauren Hutton (looking incredibly chic in an all-white ensemble) who was the host, while I emceed the benefit. The night began with caviar and champagne while we placed our bids on amazing art in the silent auction. I had the honor of presenting Thomas J. McGrath with the Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as Hanz Brattskar, who on behalf of Norway, accepted the New Species Award for the country’s visionary work for the conservation of the planet as as a whole. CK Swett of Phillips was hilarious as the night’s live art auctioneer. My favorite works auctioned were from Spencer Tunick, Lola Montes Schnabel and DustinYellin. Overall, the night was a huge success, a fitting soirée to usher in the Spring season!
