The Daily Summer Kicked Off the Season

One could say the eye candy quotient at last night’s Daily Summer bash to celebrate our season premiere issue was at maximum capacity. The party, held at Tribeca’s super chic Smyth Hotel, celebrated our recent cover star Stella Maxwell and Jeremy Scott (who flew in from Los Angeles to be there) and welcomed: Nadine LeopoldLais Ribeiro, Jasmine Tookes, Tobias Sorensen, RJ King, Nico Tortorella, Mel Ottenberg, Adam Selman, Leigh Lezark, Pablo Olea, Monse’s Fernando Garcia, Aliza Licht, Ashley Smith, Marc Bouwer, Fern Mallis, Flaviana Matala, James Marshall, Bethany Meyers, David Ralph, Nicholas K, Andrew Saffir, Jordan Duffy, Isis Bataglia, Roosmarijn de Kok, Keke Lindgard, Kris Gottschalk, Dan Murphy, Bart Grzybowski, Danielle Vreeland, Sophie Elgort, and perhaps the hardest working guest of the night, Paris Hilton, who happily posed for selfies with countless admirers with her LuMee light on hand. Throughout the night, artist Anthony Kieren sketched guests (many wearing Moschino and shades from Sunglass Hut) with the conversation of the night DJ’s Issac Likes Jenny killer set.

The designer and his muse, who headed to Milan to Giampaolo Sgura’s studio to shoot the feature earlier this year, weighed in on their chemistry. “Stella is such an amazing model because she can capture and create all these characters so it’s so much fun to shoot with her,” Scott told us. “Giampaolo is so quick at shooting, I’m quick, Stella’s quick—it was like boom, boom, boom. New look!” Maxwell added, “It was just like hanging out with a friend and kind of creating magic.” As for his summer plans, the people’s designer isn’t messing around. “I’m actually trying to take two vacations, because I deserve it!” he said. “I want to go to Hawaii and Thailand—somewhere beachy, warm, and exotic. The reason I want two is because if one sucks, I still have a second.”

The Daily Summer’s massive fan club went home with a bag of goodies including products from John Frieda, Maybelline New York, Moroccanoil, and their very own copy of the issue. Special thanks to Peroni, Zico coconut water, and the team at the Smyth Hotel.
