On November 24th, Donald will be at Kara Ross’ Madison Avenue store from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., signing and drawing all over her limited-edition handbags. Robertson, the guru of gaffer tape, also digs Whole Foods bags as canvases, so Ross created luxe totes that Robertson will transform into signed and numbered art works. It’s all very Warhol–in the best possible way. Ross replicated the Whole Foods bags, down to the serrated edges at the top. “We did a leather version and a wax canvas,” Kara tells me. “The very high end one is made of white python. To me it’s all about art–wearable art.” Snatch one up fast at Ross’ store before Robertson becomes too famous. Some wacky couple already dressed up like him and one of his drawings for Halloween. Naturally, the resulting image is all over Instagram.
Is Bingo back for the non-geriatric bunch? The Monarch Room, a fave of the style set’s cool kids, like like Phillip Lim (who hosted his fashion week party there), Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow of Public School, Alexander Wang, and BryanBoy, is launching a weekly “BINGO” party this Sunday at 9 p.m. with Markus of Westgay fame as the MC. Now, I just have to remember how to play Bingo…
