The Daily Front Row’s 15th Anniversary Party Was Lit! (If We Do Say So Ourselves)

by Charles Manning

On Tuesday night, The Daily Front Row and Maybelline New York hosted a party to celebrate The Daily’s 15th anniversary — a chic dinner at John Meadow’s new location of Scarpetta — 88 Madison Avenue at The James NY NoMad — followed by an afterparty at The Seville, a new cocktail lounge located beneath the restaurant.

The party kicked off at 6:30 with a cocktail reception at Scarpetta’s bar and lounge, just outside the main dining room. Beautiful bouquets from Designs by Ahn were sprinkled throughout the room and DJ Henrietta provided the playlist as guests including Nina Agdal, Hailey Baldwin, Miss Fame, Kelly Rutherford, and Daily cover star Grace Elizabeth began trickling in.

On their way to cocktails, guests posed for photos on the step-and-repeat.

Guests took selfies with the Hypno.cam, which is sort of like a cross between a photo booth, a professional beauty light, and a giant magic eight ball.

At 7:30, guests made their way into the dining room, where they were served a lavish meal, including Scarpetta’s famous creamy mushroom polenta and fresh tomato basil spaghetti, which even the carb-aversed found hard to resist.

We see you, Hailey Baldwin.

“Karl Lagerfeld” and “Anna Wintour” stopped by to entertain the crowd.

And Rod — the world’s most famous gay Republican puppet from Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Avenue Q — sang a very special “Happy Birthday” to the Daily.

And since no party would be complete without gifts, Maybelline New York gave each guest their full line of Lip Studio Python Metallic Lip Kits.

After dinner, guest made their way to the bar at The Seville for drinks and dancing. And more drinks. Peroni provided the beers and there were fabulous specialty cocktails served throughout the night, with plenty of bottles of LIFEWTR on hand to keep everybody hydrated and hangover-free. Well, mostly hangover-free. It was a long (and very indulgent) night, afterall!
