Cole Haan Launches STUDIØGRAND Collection with Y7 Yoga’s Sarah Larson Levey

by Paige Reddinger

Cole Haan is getting in on the activewear craze just in time for the new year, when just about everyone is looking to reinvent and hit the gym. StudiøGrand, a new collection by Cole Haan, features everything from yoga mats, umbrellas, sunglasses, and bags to chic footwear and outerwear in collaboration with outdoor clothing and equipment maker Mountain Hardwear. To celebrate the launch, Cole Haan invited a select group of editors to try out Y7 Yoga, an infusion of hip-hop, yoga, and “free flow,” founded by Sarah Larson Levey, who also stars in Cole Haan’s campaign for the new line. “As a young and self-funded woman, I know every step I take needs to have meaning,” Larson Levey told The Daily. “Cole Haan reached out to me and pitched their StudiøGrand campaign concept…I knew immediately it would be a fit for me and the Y7 Studio.”

Y7 entails a 60-minute class of intense yoga—not to say it’s for seasoned vets only…trust us, we made it through—combined with heat, strength, deep breathing exercises, and calming of the mind. The class also incorporates periods of free flow. “It’s an opportunity for the client to work on what they want to focus on,” said Larson Levey. “If they want to make the flow harder and add in poses, great; if they want to take it easy that day, that’s good too. It’s all about giving our clients the freedom they are craving in that moment.”

Larson Levey discovered yoga through her husband and now business partner and co-founder, Mason, eight years ago. “He forced me to go,” said Larson Levey. Looks like it paid off! In Cole Haan’s campaign, she’s sporting the StudiøGrand bomber jacket, which includes a fully seam-sealed waterproof construction and down insulation for weather protection and warmth, which she says is her favorite piece.

“Studio environments are a place of community and creativity, and Sarah has broken conventions with Y7 Studio to create just that with a unique blend of music, mood, and flow,” said David Maddocks, Cole Haan’s CMO and GM of business development. “It’s the type of destination demanded by those who prefer to feed their minds and bodies with originality and purpose.”

Joining Larson Levey in the campaign is model, dancer, and NoMad Management founder Coco Rocha and principal dancer at the New York City Ballet, Sara Mearns. Check out the full collection, available now at ColeHaan.com.
