Chloé Fall/Winter 2016

by The Daily Front Row

Coachella girls all grown up. Claire Waight Keller’s collection for Chloé is what we would imagine all the PYTs would be dressing like one day when the allure of dressing like a poster child for the modern day hippie wanes. The brand’s signature romantic ruffled gowns came adorned with flecks of feathers, lace trim, and folky prints. Ponchos of every kind, including a few very editorial knit ones, stood out. And those leather jumpsuits were simply lust-worthy and served as the perfect offset to the sweeter frothy numbers. Even a crunchy fleece pullover was paired with leather culottes. It’s not the kind of thing you want to be wearing when trudging through mud and grass to listen to the latest from Sufjan Stevens or on a cross-country bike ride like Anne-France Dauthville, who inspired the collection, but it will still look just right at your future Palm Springs or Aspen retreat.
