CondÃ© Nast Entertainment unfurled its second phase of video channels based on its toniest newsstand titles yesterday at a Newfront presentation, first targeting the rather disparate crowds of fashionettes and tech titans. The newest spate of glossies to go the original programming route include Vogue, which will bow in video form next Wednesday, and Wired, which will unroll a channel on May 15.
Paul Smith is hitting the London catwalk this summer. According to a tentative schedule released by the British Fashion Council for London Collections: Men, the designer is expected to present in London for the first time on June 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. He joins the roster alongside top menswear brands like Burberry, Tom Ford, and Alexander McQueenâ€”all showing between Sunday, June 16, and Tuesday, June 18. Although Sir Paul calls the UK home, he’s shown in Paris since 1976, and is still expected to present his full Spring/Summer 2014 collection there in July.

It was a roaring good time at the Prada store in Soho last night as some of the biggest faces in fashion, film, and music collided for an evening to celebrate the looks Miuccia Prada designed for costume designer and art director Catherine Martin for the hautely-anticipated film, Gatsby. The designer created 40 looks for the ’20s flick, transforming several looks from the Prada and Miu Miu archives. While the archival looks were not ’20s-inspired, Miuccia Prada has said she was surprised by how many of her pieces fit with the era.
Acne Studios is headed to the Golden State. This fall, the Stockholm-based company plans to open a 5,000 square-foot flagship inside the Eastern Columbia Building at 849 South Broadway in downtown L.A. The new outpost will stock men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, denim, accessories, and handbags.
