Save the date alert! The Couture Council of The Museum at FIT announced today that Carolina Herrera will be honored at their annual Fall Luncheon on September 3 with their award for Artistry of Fashion. Now considered the launch of NYFW, the event has previously honored Michael Kors, Karl Lagerfeld, Alber Elbaz, and Ralph Rucci, to name a few. “Every woman in New York wants to be like Carolina Herrera,” Couture Council Chairman Yaz Hernandez explained in a release. “She’s created a world in her home, in her atelier, and in her boutiques that is sophisticated perfection. As a philanthropist, she is one of the few leaders who never says no.” This year’s luncheon chairs are Julie Macklowe and Elizabeth Musmanno. Congrats, Mrs. Herrera!
