Page Six reports today Carine Roitfeld and Stephen Gan have “had a major falling out” and are only speaking through lawyers these days. Roitfeld is the editor-in-chief and founder of CR Fashion Book and Gan is on the masthead as president and design director. He’s also the editor-in-chief and creative director of V Magazine and VMAN. The duo collaborate at Harper’s Bazaar where Gan has served as the longtime creative director and Roitfeld is the global fashion director. A source insists in the Page Six item that they remain good friends and lawyers are only around for business reasons. We reached out for comment and both are remaining mum for now. Insiders assure The Daily Front Row there’s no need to worry about V Magazine or CR Fashion Book folding any time soon. “Not true!” our source insists. Our insider also tells us they will continue to work together at Harper’s Bazaar on projects such as their “Icons” portfolio. Whatever the story is between the fashion powerhouses, they remain two of the most important visionaries in media.
