Calvin Klein Spring 2016

by The Daily

The Calvin Klein Collection show this season referenced this season’s era du jour the 90s and Francisco Costa paid homage to Calvin’s famous slip dresses that were all the rage back then. The two that opened the show were perhaps the most literal interpretations. The slinky sequined and chained slip dresses that closed the show will be equally in demand.

The outerwear was also particularly great, especially when paired with slouchy pants or a long feminine dress. The lengthy sleeves had a casual covetable, casual chic vibe. Can’t you just see Gwyneth Paltrow in her Brad Pitt days wearing any number of these looks? The leather pieces were also particularly great as they always are on Costa’s runway. A long tan leather trench was to die for. We’re pretty sure we could feel the hole burning in our pocket just looking at it. For a brand that really created an iconic style in the 90s, what better season than this to celebrate the greatest hits?
