Bruce Braves The Heat To Bring The Heat

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Another Bruce Willis action flick? Sign us up! Last night, the Cinema Society and Bally hosted a screening of Red 2 at the MoMA. The intimate screening brought out the film’s stars, including Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. After a brief welcome from di Bonaventura, the audience sat back, or, rather, on the edge of their seats. As for Zeta-Jones’ experience working with Willis? “He is just a great film actor, especially in this genre because he has the ability to do all of the action and then add his quick comical timing,” the actresses recounted for the crowd. When asked her favorite part about filming, Zeta-Jones replied with a sensual, “I got to kick ass in stiletto heels…nothing is better than that!”

Not familiar with the original Red? Don’t fret! Both the writers and the actors did a superb job of assigning this movie an original storyline, featuring the same great set of action heroes as the original! Teaser tine: The gang of retired CIA agents reunites, with a few new faces, to not only secure a detrimental nuclear weapon but also to stay alive, considering they were all hired at some point or another to kill each other.. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer? Expect numerous high-energy fight scenes, satirical humor, weapons aplenty, and heels that seem to get higher heights as the movie rolls on.

Guests such as Wes Gordon, Megan Hilty, Nanette Lepore, Julie Henderson, Joel McHale, and Olivia Palermo rolled through, and the evening concluded with a party at the Refinery Rooftop where cocktails containing Purity vodka and Qui tequila were cleverly monikered “Undercover Martini” and “Agent Moses”. So! See him run. See him shoot guns. Just see Bruce being Bruce.
