This past weekend Chiara Ferragni — aka The Blonde Salad — married Italian rapper Fedez in a lavish Italian ceremony. The fashion, the dinners, the Instagram moments… this might have been the wedding of the year. Thankfully, the social-media savvy Feragni made sure every second of it was captured for posterity. Here’s a breakdown of all the major moments.
The Pre-Ceremony Festivities
Ferragni and Fedez kicked things off last Friday when they arrived in Sicily with plush mascots of themselves. They also revealed their wedding hashtag (#TheFerragnez), making it easier for the rest of the world to follow along with the fun. The first clue that this wedding was going to be completely over-the-top: the bride and groom chartered an entire Alitalia plane to get their guests to the wedding.

The Night Before
Lots of weddings have a rehearsal dinner, but few include crowds of adoring fans, and an entire nightclub. The event also marked Ferragni’s first major fashion moment of the weekend when she donned a custom — and extremely glitzy — Prada dress.
The Ceremony
Adoring friends and family watched Ferragni and Fedez tie the knot under a canopy of flowers. Ferragni wore a custom Dior gown by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids wore Alberta Ferretti, meaning all of Ferragni’s ladies (and herself) were representing Italian designers over the course of the weekend. Fireworks went off when the happy couple kissed.

The Reception
For the reception, Ferragni changed into a second custom Dior gown, this time one that featured some details that were specific to the couple, such as embroidered motifs and words that referenced their history. The skirt also featured a lion, a reference to their son, Leone. The entire wedding party dined under twinkling lights, which Ferragni reffered to as a “light cave.”

The Carnival
Did you think this event would end with just dinner and dancing? That’s just where the reception started. The party really kicked off with Ferragnez-themed carnival. There was a ferris wheel, a carousel, and even games that allowed guests to win stuffed versions of the bride and groom. The mascots were once again on hand to keep things lighthearted. Ferragni also showed off her third look of the day — a mini-skirted version of her reception gown that allowed her to jump around as Fedez put on a concert.
