6. Sacai
No one does deconstruction quite like Sacai’s Chitose Abe. Her years at Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe clearly had a tremendous impact on her aesthetic, but with a buoyancy and wearability that is all her own, this season writ in bright colors and fantastic floral prints sure to send shoppers into a spending frenzy come spring.
7. Altuzarra
Joseph Altuzarra’s clothes are just so damn sexy, right? This collection especially. And it’s nice to see him playing with brighter colors and unusual textures. Come back to New York, Joseph! You are so very missed.
8. Miu Miu
There were bows and short shorts and embellishments galore in this subversively sexy collection from Miucia Prada and creative director Katie Grand, who can’t help but make beautiful music together season after season.
9. Hermès
There is something to be said for the clean, unfussiness of this collection, which is so understated that it could easily go unnoticed in a season full of so much capital “F” fashion. But there is a luxuriousness and laid-back elegance in these pieces that cannot be denied.
10. Isabel Marant
The thing about Isabel Marant is, you always sort of know what you’re going to get, more or less. That’s not a bad thing, especially in a season when 80s mainstays like denim, bold shoulders, micro-minis, lamé, and one-shoulder tops and dresses are having such a moment.
