What: A clean, woodsy l’eau de parfum born from a collaboration between Off-White’s Virgil Abloh and Byredo’s Ben Gorham. It’s a confluence of earthy notes and understated musks — bamboo, midnight violet, jasmine petals and burned woods. It’s as soothing as, well, elevator music. “Much like literal elevator music, we wanted the scent to play background to one’s life,” Abloh said of the ambient name. The full beauty capsule includes hair perfume (is that a thing?) and hand cream.
Who: Off-White’s creative director and conspicuous collaborator Virgil Abloh. He’s also the newly minted creative director of menswear for Louis Vuitton.
Why: Everything Abloh touches turns to hypebeast gold. Go full fangirl or fanboy with this unisex fragrance. It feels very Nineties minimalism, or the olfactory equivalent of jeans and a tee shirt. In other words, consummately cool.
Where: Exclusively at Barneys and Byredo.
How (much): $275
