Color galore! It was a splash of vibrant hues to match Olivier Rousteing‘s equally-colorful front row. The big news, of course, is that Kim Kardashian arrived at Balmain with new bleached-blonde tresses to support little sister Kendall Jenner walking the runway. Jared Leto was also front row with newly platinum locks for his role as The Joker in the upcoming film Suicide Squad. Plus, Solange Knowles and Harry Brant also showed up. But in case you care more about the clothing, there were plenty of sexy eye-popping Balmain party ensembles for the brand’s youthful jet-set clientele. Pleating was a big theme on pieces like a canary yellow jacket with black fur sleeves, a shimmery green belted peplum bodice on a one-shouldered velvet jumpsuit, and a pair of wide-leg aubergine pants paired with a satin tangerine evening jacket that looked absolutely stunning on Jourdan Dunn.
Then there was fringe, fringe, fringe. It came in a sparkly mélange of hues on micro minis perfect for twirling around a nightclub. Two multi-colored floor-length dresses looked like they were printed in a confetti pattern. And of course, there were all of the other famous faces in the room: Dunn, Joan Smalls, Jessica Stam, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Devon Windsor, Sasha Luss, Anna Ewers, Lily Donaldson, and Alessandra Ambrosio, to name a few. Noticeably absent? Rousteing’s BFF Rosie Huntington-Whiteley did not walk the runway this season. She’s been in L.A., and was spotted out at Madeo Restaurant last night. One thing is for sure: Rousteing sure knows how to lure in an attention-getting crowd, and the clothes certainly aren’t made for the wallflower types. Viva la glam, darlings.
