Skirt suits, floral, capes: Nicola Formichetti’s Pre-Fall collection for Mugler applied a sculptural, more futuristic take to some of couture’s recurrent themes. Take the black skirt suit made from leather, coated in a shiny patent, lined with blue fur peeping at the collar and cuffs, cut à la Judy Jetson. Another riff on this theme included a space age-y black patent skirt paired with a baby blue furry sweater over a stark white collared shirt. (A shockingly stylish take on a 1998 MTV red-carpet look for Gwen Stefani’s 1998 MTV VMA’s look, anyone? If only Gwen had known Nicola then!)

When the temperatures drop before freezing the only thing that can get the fashion crowd out is a runway show accompanied by a performance from French pop star YELLE.

RuPaul’s beloved Logo show Les Drag Race returns to the boob tube on Monday night and while there are other ways we could remind you… What’s better than this? One clever person with a lot of extra time on their hands (we’re jealous!) has put Ru on the poster of the Oscar nominated film, Les Misérables. (We know some of you haaaaaated the film. We’re all on board that RuPaul is to be loved, qui?)

Nothing like a visit to Terry Richardson’s wholesome diary to remind one of what’s important in the world… It’s not all about Gaga, Franco, and Leto for Mr. T. In a recent adventure, our friendly photog took some time to show some thumbs up with cheery flight attendants (love the blue eye shadow, girl!) during his worldwide travels. All of them remained clothed during the flight. Good day for the FAA.

Valentino: Deep inside the Rocco suite of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli wove an enchanted fairy tale of such magic and frothy lightness that Valentino Garavani rose to his feet and embraced the dynamic duo post-show. The house’s “once upon a time†centered around a secret garden theme, complete with hand-painted floral frocks, lavish gowns encrusted with guipure, porcelain pearls, and crystals, and the ubiquitous birds of whimsy. Those winged creatures perched pretty in yards of black tulle on a bustier gown that took 600-plus hours to craft at the atelier. Others were spotted embroidered onto a porcelain silk gown, caged by a transparent cape in black piping that captured a time gone by yet remained modern. For a seasonal shot of Valentino red, look no further than a superb caped shift for an insta-update to the house’s staple skirtsuits. Bien fait, darlings.

The bad boys turned out on a wickedly chilly evening for The Cinema Society and L’Oréal Paris’ screening of Parker, director Taylor Hackford’s new action film starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez. The diabolical crew included: Micah Hauptman, Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce, Clifton Collins Jr., Emma Booth and Patti Lupone (plus a noticeably absent Nick Nolte). What’s the most gangster thing about perennial badass Statham? “My suits!” he told your Daily. Before we could find out who he was wearing, Statham was squired away by his publicist after another reporter asked his position on gun violence.
