WHAT: Acne Piers Beige Mix Shopper…WHY: Tassel time! Excuse us while we take a moment (or three) to fawn over this neutral masterpiece of a tote by Acne. The nude palette is classic elegance incarnate, with structure to spare and a quiet luxury quotient. No spikes, studs, or exaggerated detailing needed.

Kenneth Cole’s return to the runway involves a digital-savvy fash world. The designer understands that the world has changed since his last show. “Fashion Week is now consumable by everyone, everywhere. Before a look even leaves the runway, people are able to shoot it, post it, share it, pin it, blog it, tweet it, and retweet it.
Michael Kors is paying it forward. Over the next few years, the designer has pledged to raise millions for the United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP). How will he fullfil the promise? Two of Kors’ (much-adored) watches are being created to benefit the charity. The unisex watches will be a part of the “Watch Hunger Stop” campaign, which will also feature Kors in a special PSA to be promoted through their social media outlets. Available in March, each watch sold will feed 100 children. Food for thought, non?

Ever the cult bag purveyor, will Alexander Wang’s next style, whipped up in conjunction with Samsung, fare as well as his eponymous studded-bottom covetables? The collab is comprised of a bag patterned with an amalgam of prints, pulled from photos taken on the Samsung Galaxy phone by Wang’s coterie of pals. Expect the bags to hit Wang’s retail outposts come summer; the collab will also be up for sale on the designer’s website. Of course, there’s a charity component to tie the whole alliance together: proceeds will go to ArtStart. The NYC-based charity focuses on at-risk youth getting their creativity on. Given Wang’s eclectic posse of cronies, we’re expecting some pretty epic photos to get incorporated into this chic tote…
Halston Heritage will not be stopped! The brand announced today that three new stores are scheduled to open in the U.S. by March. Ambitious much? They’ll first be setting up a shop with a two-story, 4,400-square-foot flagship on Madison Avenue at 83rd St., followed by two 3,000 square-foot locations in Los Angeles at The Beverly Cetner and another in Troy, Michigan.
Gorgeous gals Ajak Deng, Emily Senko, and Grace Mahary attended a private dinner to celebrate the launch of the debut collection by Marissa Webb last night at Barneys Madison Avenue store. We’ve given our body language expert the day off, but if this shot is any indication, looks like Ms. Webb is having the best time evah.
Danish mod and DJ extraordinaire Chloe Nørgaard is the new face of BLK DNM, where Swede Johan Lindeberg holds court. She’s featured in a series of edgy black and white photos (we dig!) sporting nothing but a leather jacket. “Sometimes being a model is hard because everyone around you is creative,” said Nørgaard. “So I rebeled and dyed my hair blue.” Whatever works, love.
