Artadia Hosts Annual Benefit and Auction

by Sydney Sadick

Earlier this week, an art and fashion crowd gathered to raise funds for Artadia, a national non-profit organization that supports visual artists with unrestricted, merit-based awards and fosters connections to a network of opportunities. This year’s event was hosted at Cadillac House, where guests like Arden Wohl and Pippa Cohen browsed the immersive experienced created by Nick Cave, who reworked his 2010 film Drive By to play across the venue’s series of video screened columns. Cave co-hosted the evening along with Bob FaustNoise Cans, the DJ and performance artist, donned an outfit of his own creation. The speciality cocktail was crafted by Tequila Casa Dragones, and guests took in a live auction featuring works by Mark Flood, Matt Chambers, Math Bass, and Nina Beier as well as exclusive experience packages which included studio visits with Marilyn Minter and Rashid Johnson and a tour of philanthropist and collector Beth DeWoody’s private home. The evening raised $200,000 for the organization.
