E-tailer Farfetch has just hit a major milestone, adding 1,000 staffers across its 10 offices to keep up with the expanding biz, most notably Anya Ziourova as executive editor at large. Ziourova was previously fashion director at Tatler Russia and Allure Russia, and is a well-known member of the “Russian Fashion Pack.”

“In Anya we have someone who brings her great vision and exceptional knowledge of the global fashion industry,” said Stephanie Horton, CMO, in a statement. In her role, Ziourova will define the style and direction of the site’s content, collaborate with photographers, designers, and brands, and help maintain a balance between editorial and commerce. She will be based in New York.

Farfetch has just expanded to 35 countries and partnered with 400 retailers, and will launch two new categories by popular demand: beauty and kids wear. The children’s offering, launching with Spring/Summer, will include Stella McCartney Kids, Hucklebones, Caramel Baby, Roksanda, Burberry Kids, to name a few. Within beauty are boutique Space NK Apothecary, Eve Lom, Lipstick Queen, By Terry, and Kevyn Aucoin.

Farfetch began in 2008 with 25 boutiques in five countries, including Studio 14, Club 21, Parlour X, and Joseph. “We’ve come a long way from where we started and are proud to have built a cohesive community of the world’s best curators of fashion,” said José Neves, founder and CEO, in a press release.
