Angela Burt-Murray Named Deputy Editor at Glamour

Angela Burt-Murray has been named deputy editor at Glamour, effective today. The former editor-in-chief at Essence, whose duties included relaunching essence.com and working on the Essence Music Festival, will work on larger features, editorial packages, and brand partnerships at Glamour.

“I’ve been an Angela Burt-Murray fan for years, and am thrilled she’s joining our team,” said Glamour editor-in-chief Cindi Leive. “Her extensive brand-building skill and multiplatform know-how will be invaluable as we cultivate new editorial franchises for Glamour, particularly at this exciting moment for women.”

Most recently, Burt-Murray cofounded the Cocoa Media Group in Atlanta, and coauthored The Vow, which was turned into a Lifetime movie, With this Ring. Previously, she had served as executive editor at Teen People and Honey magazines.
