The Altuzarra For Target Collab Is Coming This Fall

by Paige Reddinger

Joseph Altuzarra is the latest designer to be tapped to design for Target. The designer’s limited-edition collection for the mass retailer is comprised of nearly 50 items. and including apparel, accessories, shoes, and even lingerie, ranging in price from $17.99 to $89.99. Altuzarra’s luxury ready-to-wear is priced at $2,595 for a cotton and silk-blend dress to $795 for a black stretch-crepe pencil skirt on e-commerce sites like Net-A-Porter. And that striped poncho from his Spring 2014 collection? A whopping $4,695. But the good news is that the Altuzarra for Target line won’t just be available to Americans. Net-A-Porter will now be offering a selection of pieces from the collection and will be shipping them globally (which may be bad news for those that rush to the store to snatch up pieces in order to resell on eBay, because of the previous lack of availability in international markets). “As a designer, I believe firmly in the transformative power of fashion. It has the ability to not only change how you look, but also how you feel,” said Altuzarra in a press statement. “ By working together on this capsule collection, we hope to instill a sense of power, confidence and beauty in women everywhere.”

While there isn’t a sneak peek at the collection quite yet, Target’s behind-the-scenes website ABullsEyeView.com reveals a sketch of a long boho style dress that comes belted at the waist. “I envision women wearing this dress to special occasions and feeling confident, sexy, and sophisticated,” said Altuzarra on the site. The collection will be available at most Target stores in the United States and Canada, as well as Target.com, in addition to the selection that will be made available on Net-A-Porter on September 14th.
