AllSaints made New York Fashion Week the backdrop for its spring 2016 collection via a short documentary titled It’s Up To You. The video, which is a love-letter from the people of New York to their city, showcases the brand’s SS16 ready-to-wear and accessories collections as a modular wardrobe from which global individuals are inspired to shape and curate their personal style. The video was premiered during the brand’s NYFW presentation, featuring a street-cast of collective individuals. On the clothes front, the womenswear and menswear collection reflects the tension between codification and effortless insouciance, modernity, and classism, the city, and the country, leading to a spread of wardrobe staples that will have both ladies and gents looking forward to spring dressing.
“I feel strongly that AllSaints’ collections provide the catalyst for individual creativity, no matter who you are, where you’re from or how you see the world,” AllSaints Creative Director Wil Beedle said in a statement. “Everything’s valid. What we present is a uniform without uniformity.”
