Alise Collective’s Dria Murphy on Her Hamptons Fitness Musts

by The Daily Front Row

If you’ve spent any time in Montauk this summer, chances are you’ve spotted Dria Murphy, whether at a pop-up workout class at Surf Lodge or on a neighboring bike at SoulCycle. The PR maven and founder of Alise Collective dishes on her Hamptons fitness musts. Take notes!

Bari
My favorite Manhattan workout studio, Bari, teaches every Saturday at The Surf Lodge. Bari Studio has four different classes on its roster but out East they teach their popular Micro class. It raises your heart rate while lengthening and toning your muscles. It really is the best way to start the weekend.
What to wear: I always wear pieces from the Alala x Surf Lodge capsule.

Yoga led by Lauren Musselman
I have been trying to work yoga more into my routine, especially this summer. It builds strength and endurance, while helping me work on my flexibility. Out East my favorite yoga teacher is Lauren Musselman, so I follow her wherever she teaches. She teaches private clients and is a regular at BYoga but also teaches pop up classes at The Breakers and Hero Beach Club. Her class is very real and she doesn’t take the practice too seriously, which I really respond to. Her approach is all about balance and it always leaves me with a clear mind.
What to wear: Outdoor Voices is my favorite for yoga.

Soul Cycle
I know, basic pick, but I do love a good sweat at SoulCycle. It’s a quick way to sweat out the night before. I love how they rotate teachers so it’s always someone different, but they all keep the energy super high.

Surfing
I am very new to surfing…like very, very new. My friend John Angiulo, who is a Montauk local, has taken me out a few times and is an amazing teacher. He teaches at Ditch Plains Beach and is great with all levels. The surf culture at Ditch Plains is like nothing else. The community is infectious and everyone feels like family.
What to wear: I love to rock a Cynthia Rowley wetsuit!

Bandier x Bluestone Lane running club
Bandier and Bluestone Lane host weekend runs through Montauk. Every week is a different path, so it’s a great way to see new parts of Montauk. Best part? Post-run avocado toast and cold brew is waiting for you at their store-meets-cafe!
