Omega Watches has tapped Alessandra Ambrosio and Eddie Redmayne to be the faces of its new Seamaster Aqua Terra campaign for women and men, respectively. The Seamaster watch has been an important staple for Omega for the past 70 years. The Seamaster Aqua Terra model was created in 2002, so this year is Aqua Terra’s 15th anniversary. To celebrate, the Aqua Terra has undergone a design update, which includes tweaks like a repositioned date window, bracelets that better integrate with the case, a wave-edged caseback design, and the teak patterned dial now sails horizontal instead of vertical, amongst other new details. These are the nuances that only a true watch geek would appreciate, but the rest of us can admire the timeless appeal of the Seamaster Aqua Terra so perfectly embodied by the dreaminess of Ambrosio and Redmayne wearing their Seamasters and setting sail to some exotic locale.
