Alberta Ferretti Spring/Summer 2018

By  |  0 Comments

Alberta Ferretti decided to pare back this season, having decided less is more. The show opened with a series of monotone black and brown one-piece swimsuits—this is a woman who owns a yacht named Prometheus, after all. What followed were some simple but still romantic evening wear in black and then a series of the chiffon numbers, for which she was known. The nude and coral numbers adorned in ostrich feathers will surely find a way into the closest of Ferretti fans. Ditto the powder pink sequin gown worn by Nadine Leopold, which looked ready to grace a red carpet. The embellished lamé mini dresses should win over her younger fans, but even the world’s top models could not pull off her lamé pants, so surely no mortal could either. But it’s her dresses that have built her empire and as of late, her viral day of the week sweaters, of which a new iteration was seen in pink celebrating Saturday. So simple, but so catchy.
