We caught up with the always-lovely Leave Your Mark author and @DKNYPRGirl Aliza Licht on the rooftop of Hôtel Americano at our party for The Daily Summer’s season premiere issue.
How’s your summer going?
It’s going great! I feel like it’s the first day where it’s actually hot!
What’s your pool routine?
Well, I don’t get my hair wet. Ever.
So you won’t be going in tonight?
Definitely not. I like laying by the pool, though! If I do go in a pool, I’ll only let the water go up to my neck.
Will you be in the Hamptons this summer?
Yes! I have a home in Bridgehampton that I moved into this summer.
What are you looking forward to doing out there?
Sitting still, doing nothing…vegging out. Reading The Daily!
Are you exhausted from promoting your book?
I’m going to London actually next week, so it’s starting up again. I’m not exhausted, though, because it’s been evenly paced. Next week will be really busy, but I’m excited.
What’s been the best part of the experience of penning a book?
People who are reading my book and emailing me through my website telling me they’ve applied some of the tips and that they worked. That’s really the best part!
Have you seen an increase in social media followers?
Yeah, I have! Mostly on Instagram, which is interesting because I’m not a big Instagram person. I don’t post all the time, but [my following] basically doubled though since May!
