London has always been a city where heritage and innovation meet, a place where centuries-old architecture coexists with boundary-pushing creativity. For The Digital Amber, an innovative 3D-printed fashion accessory brand founded by Jojo Zan, this dialogue between past and future is the foundation of its identity.
“The brand draws inspiration from exploring the connection between past and future, we envisioned the ruins of a future civilisation shaped by digital entropy,” Zan explained. “Amber has always been a natural time capsule, holding fragments of life across centuries. So in the coming digital age, what form will information take? For us, this concept is reinterpreted through 3D printing and biomaterials, using modern technology to recreate amber’s texture. In this way, the accessories that symbolize future memory become both digital and material, fragile yet enduring.”
On September 20th, The Digital Amber made its official appearance at the 2025 London Fashion Week FLAIR Showroom, held at One Great George Street in central London. Against the backdrop of Edwardian architecture, the brand unveiled its latest collection, Relic Tower — a profound exploration of the intersections between virtuality and reality, memory and the body. The sculptural towers, composed of stacked rings in varying forms, shimmered in the sunlight with the crystalline glow of amber, blurring the boundaries between artifact and innovation.

At the core of Relic Tower was the question of how digital culture reshapes human identity. By applying 3D-printing techniques to the realm of fashion accessories, the collection embodied the qualities of a futuristic amber, objects that felt at once like ancient relics and artifacts from another world. The design language drew inspiration from fossilized imprints, while the translucent quality suggested virtual consciousness and a sense of futurity. “We wanted to create accessories that feel like memory structures,” Zan says. “Objects that live between the physical and the virtual, as if holding onto a fragment of digital time.”

Critically, The Digital Amber is also expanding the footprint of British fashion innovation on the global stage. Since the beginning of this year, the brand has garnered features in prominent publications including Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Grazia, signaling its growing cultural relevance. Celebrated by a new generation of artists and influencers, the brand’s presence in leading London boutiques like WEVE2050 and Underland reflects rising demand for its speculative yet sustainable design language
In the future, Zan envisions The Digital Amber not merely as a label, but as a platform for fashion innovation shaped by a spirit of experimentation and cultural dialogue. While rooted in her own independent vision, the brand has been inspired by the creative energy of London, a dynamic ecosystem with openness to experimentation, emphasis on sustainability, and a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship. The brand seeks to reinterpret how accessories shape identity, memory, and material culture through cutting-edge digital craft and environmentally conscious practices. Relic Tower extends this vision beyond sculptural form, it proposes a new language for wearable design, one that reflects the evolving codes of our digital age while contributing to fashion’s philosophical and ecological future.
