Romance is in bloom at Ulla Johnson and it felt like a welcome breath of fresh air and optimism for the debut of New York Fashion Week. The runway was adorned with exquisite floral arrangements by Saipua, which highlighted the cool femininity of the collection. A sweet pinafore dress was topped off with a hip parka, a leg of mutton sleeve top was styled beneath a sexy white denim jumpsuit that highlighted every curve, and ladylike dresses came sheer enough to reveal the model’s underpinnings. Ulla’s girl is sweet, but she’s no wallflower and she’ll have plenty of reasons to step out come spring.
