A masthead departure of note: Your Daily has learned exclusively that Kim Friday, a 13-year vet of Women’s Wear Daily resigned from her role as senior fashion editor at the publication to take on an editorial director position at Tommy Hilfiger. Friday first joined WWD as their West Coast fashion editor in 2000, where she covered the L.A. scene in addition to working on quarterly regional issues for Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas. Three years later, she became the trade pub’s senior fashion editor. Over the last 11 years, she oversaw the launch of  WWDFast and managed the offshoot’s L.A. offices, in addition to styling fashion content and reporting on runway shows and various trend stories. In addition to WWD, Friday was a contributing writer and stylist at W from 2001 to 2008. Friday has also freelanced as a stylist, writer, and brand consultant for the likes of Roland Mouret and Lorraine Schwartz.
