Winona Ryder Treks To Coney Island With Rag & Bone

by Alexandra Ilyashov

For rag & bone’s Fall ad campaign, Winona Ryder and Michael Pitt take a moody stroll in Coney Island, shot in B&W by shutterbug Glen Luchford. The actors were snapped separately, and sans direction from the line’s duo of designers. Intriguing! “To us, Winona Ryder is a bona fide icon. One of the things that makes her so cool is that although she has this incredible career, she isn’t interested in being a movie star. For her, it’s all about the craft. She also has this beautiful timeless quality,” Marcus Wainwright said in a statement. Pitt was chosen for the ads because “he’s a very talented guy with a lot of artistic integrity,” according to David Neville. As for the Brooklyn beach locale?  “We wanted to shoot our FW14 campaigns in New York and thought Coney Island, with its gritty amusement district which is so atmospheric and authentic, would be a good fit,” Wainwright explained. Look out for the ads in glossies like Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Interview, and WSJ.
