Victoria Beckham: "Everyone thinks I'm going to be a cow!"

by The Daily Front Row

At last night’s Vogue Festival Q&A in London, Victoria Beckham took the stage to talk about her brand and her image in the media, along with dishing on her daily habits (“a control freak” in “flats”) and her workout (Tracy Anderson, three times a week). Here’s a couple highlights…

On her public persona: “Everyone thinks I’m going to be a cow…I get it when I see the photos [of myself].”

On becoming a fashion designer: “There were a lot of raised eyebrows – or those that could raise their eyebrows – when they heard I was going to do this. A lot of people had preconceptions, but I didn’t go out to prove anybody wrong. I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it.”

On her creative mantra: “Less is less now.”

On juggling motherhood and a career: “I think you feel so torn, don’t you? But I’ve got great people who handle my schedule and everything does revolve around the children. So, if there’s a parents’ night or an Easter bonnet parade or a nativity play, whatever it might be, then I plan everything around that so I can always be there.”

On her design process: “I normally get naked and make clothes on myself!”
