Although Valentino’s Fifth Avenue flagship opened this summer, the brand is just now celebrating their new 20,000-square-foot digs, designed by David Chipperfield and located at 693 Fifth Avenue. Tonight, the brand is hosting an invitation-only cocktail event at the store with Chipperfield and creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. Tomorrow night, Valentino will be presenting an exclusive couture collection in celebration of the opening. Manhattan social types, take note: If Chiuri and Piccioli’s July couture show is anything to go by, it will be highly covetable.

The soirée tomorrow will also include an installation by Italian artist Fornasetti, as well as a dinner and party, each of which will take place on different floors of the Marcel Breuer building (the former Whitney Museum). The Fornasetti installation, entitled “The Five Senses”, was flown in from Italy just for the occasion. Judging from the tip sheet we received, this is going to be quite an A-list affair, darlings!
