Tibi Taps Anya Ziourova To Style Their Spring 2015 Show

Switching it up for their September showing, Tibi has selected stylist Anya Ziourova to style their upcoming Spring 2015 collection, The Daily can exclusively report. For the past few seasons, the brand’s founder, Amy Smilovic and her head designer, Traci Bui-Amar, have taken on the styling duties. In the past, they tapped Elin Kling to aid in the styling of their show for Spring 2011, and Natasha Royt was hired by the label in 2007 and 2008 in a similar capacity. Other fashion week changes for the brand include moving their runway show from Pier 59, where they have shown for the past three seasons, and opting for Highline Stages for their Spring 2015 show next month.

Why was Ziourova the perfect choice? “I personally love Anya’s style and aesthetic and find her to be very engaging and thoughtful,” Smilovic told us. “Each season I try and make my collection better and better and if enlisting the point of view of someone I really trust can help me do that, then I hope that will be the outcome.” How did Smilovic discover Ziourova’s work? “I love following different stylists on Instagram because everything these days is so viral. Anya was one of those people I found on social media and I suppose I followed her first because of her own personal style.” The feeling’s mutual: “Amy’s clothes are beautiful, effortless and directional at the same time, perfect for easy and stylish wear in the city, which is something I’d always aspire to in my personal style,” Ziourova said. “I’m very excited to be working with Tibi this season.”
