The Ruffian Road Trip

by The Daily Front Row

Next week, Ruffian’s Brian Wolk and Claude Morais are embarking on a cross-country road trip across America. They fill us in on where they’re off to and why they wanted to take the trek across the states. Happy travels, boys!

What cities are you headed to?
Washington DC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Austin, Marfa, Santa Fe, Scottsdale and ending up in L.A.

What made you decide to take this trip?
We always have been fans of road movies and novels, from Easy Rider to Travels with Charlie by John Steinbeck. There is a rich history of artists, writers, and creators taking to the road to seek inspiration in America and we wanted to put our very own La Vie en Ruffian spin on it (Claude & Brian, not Thelma & Louise!!). We are thrilled that Lexus is giving us some sweet hybrid wheels and W Hotels is providing shelter for us in every city we visit! We can’t wait for everyone to read all about it!

What city are you most looking forward to seeing?
We’ve always had a soft spot for New Orleans. We’re hoping to bump into Brad or Angelina in the French quarter by Ursuline Convent, right next to where their house is!

So, who’s the better driver?
Claude tends to be the official Ruffian chauffeur.

What will you do in the car to kill the time in between states?
The W music director is putting together a mix for us. Other then that, we’ll play some good old fashion car games and plan what we will do, see, and eat in the next city!

What do you always travel with?
Our favorite jeans, a sketch book, Claude’s Saint Antoine medal charm (the patron saint of travelers) and most importantly, our iPhones to document our entire trip on Instagram @ruffian. Make sure you follow us on our adventure!!  #RuffianRoadTrip
