Realism
This is not a day-late April Fool’s gag. The Company of Others – who “lives and thinks ahead of trend, anticipates where audiences are heading, and works with companies to connect their product offerings, behaviors, marketing, internal operations, and culture with that future” – have released a product called Realism. It’s a plastic frame and you play with it (like model Ines Rivero is doing in this photo) once you’ve turned off ALL your toys: iPhones, iPads, TVs, laptops etc. Use it to play-pretend that you’re taking photos that will never be posted to Instagram. Or talking to no one. People will look at you like you’re insane. Fun! And The Company of Others is launching its “Get One Give One” campaign in time for the Easter holiday urging everyone to “take a digital fast and give the present of being present to those who matter to them.”
